Nestled by the side of the road in the countryside oasis of Penn for over 100 years, Slade's Garage has an enviable reputation for providing connoisseurs with exceptional sports, classic and supercars. Here are three of our favourites that show the wide range we can offer you.
Jaguar E-Type S3 V12 Roadster
Let's start with perhaps the most iconic car ever made in the UK - the E-Type. This 1971 red convertible is from the third and last series so it's equipped with the 5.3l V12 engine (with manual gearbox) that also powered the XJ12 and XJS.
It was fully restored in 1989/90, has only completed 11,500 miles since and is in stunning condition. At £129,950, this truly represents an excellent investment but one you can enjoy for years too.
Aston Martin Vantage S V8
A real supercar, the Vantage represents the best of the changes that transformed Aston Martin over the last 10 to 15 years, turning it into a modern manufacturer that can compete with the best the world has to offer.
This cobalt blue Vantage S with gloss black alloys looks dramatic without being over the top, something you can't really say about the performance. It's a very focused driver's car, inspired by Aston Martin's successful forays into the GT4 racing series across Europe. The S indicates more power, tweaked suspension, steering and a close-ratio gearbox compared to the normal Vantage and this very low mileage (6,000) car can be yours for just £67,950.
Austin 7 Open Tourer
We often have Austin 7s in stock and they are a surprisingly affordable way to get into pre-war motoring. Many people also don't realise that these cars aren't delicate either; they were built to survive much worse roads than we see today.
Working on them is a joy too, as everything is easily accessible and there are no electronics. Not that you'd have to do much to this 1931 Open Tourer, as it's only done 100 miles since a full nut and bolt restoration. It's just perfect for going to car shows, and country shows and fetes and it could be yours for a mere £13,950.
